Can you have too many nest WIFI points?
Too many can absolutely be a problem, though how many it takes to be a problem depends on the environment and whether they are wired back to the primary or not. Google WiFi systems use a single 5GHz channel on all the pucks.
How do Google WIFI points communicate?

Mesh networking, on the other hand, is a form of network design rather than a specific technology.

Generally, each unit can be placed as far as 30 to 50 feet from the last (one or two rooms apart). So if you have one long property, a set of three hardware units in a daisy-chain setup will deliver signal from one end to another.
